Finally our assessment dates were announced for jazz and ballet. This was the first time I was giving an assessment for dance in the pdcp program. I had no idea how we were being graded or assessed. For jazz we had to do a pass and a routine and for ballet some barre and center work. I was nervous but confident about jazz since I have always been a jazz dancer. But oh my god I was dreading the ballet exam. However both of them went rather smoothly and I found out there wasn't much to be worried about. Dance is my escape and the minute it becomes something I worry about or get anxious about, it loses its purpose. So i promised myself post the assessment, no matter what comes my way dance will never be my source of worry and it should always help me escape my stress rather than cause it. I gave the assessments with a smile on my face even when I messed up. Waiting for the results because they will only help me improve. Attaching the jazz routine because the entire ballet set was like 30 minutes long!!!
